The opportunity

We are a growing our national fleet and key account business. We need an aftersales leader who can turn customer commitments into consistent performance in the field. This role owns the relationship after delivery: machine uptime, service planning, parts readiness, issue resolution and clear reporting to customers.

You will work across our four distribution centres and regional dealer network, supporting customers with fleets operating in construction, quarrying, mining, bulk handling and other demanding applications. You will have the authority to bring service, parts, technical and branch teams together around a practical plan, then follow it through until the customer sees the result.

What you will own

Be the senior aftersales contact for assigned national and major fleet customers, building relationships with operational and commercial decision makers.
Agree a support plan for each account before machines enter service, including maintenance, technician coverage, parts stocking, training, escalation and reporting.
Coordinate CDA branches, dealers, service, parts and technical teams so support is delivered consistently across sites and states.
Lead the response to serious breakdowns and recurring faults. Establish an owner, action plan and update cadence, escalate promptly, and close the loop with the customer.
Track machine availability, response times, repair completion, repeat failures, parts delays and customer commitments. Use the data to address causes, not just individual incidents.
Run monthly fleet performance reviews with key customers and deeper quarterly reviews covering reliability trends, cost, utilisation, upcoming work and agreed improvements.
Work with service and parts leaders to plan preventative maintenance, critical parts, technician capability and site readiness for growing fleets.
Support commercial teams with credible aftersales plans for tenders, trials, demonstrations and major fleet agreements. Make sure the promises made can be delivered.
Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes and grow service, parts, maintenance and training business without compromising trust.
Build clear working arrangements with equipment manufacturers and suppliers when technical or supply support is needed.

Customers know exactly who owns their issues and receive timely, accurate updates. Machines are supported from day one, recurring problems are resolved, and fleet reviews lead to visible action. Our branches and dealers understand the commitments made to each key account. Strong aftersales performance helps CDA retain customers and win the next fleet opportunity.

What you bring

Essential

Aftersales, service or product support leadership experience in construction equipment, earthmoving, agricultural machinery, mining equipment or another closely related mobile machinery sector. Direct machinery experience is essential.
Strong understanding of field service, maintenance planning, parts supply, warranty and technical escalation for working machinery.
Proven ability to manage major customers and coordinate support across multiple sites, branches or dealers.
The judgement to take charge of a difficult machine-down situation, communicate honestly and drive it to a documented resolution.
Confidence using fleet and service data to identify repeat issues, measure performance and hold teams accountable.
Commercial awareness, strong organisation and a practical, direct communication style.
Ability to travel nationally and visit customer sites as required.

Highly regarded

Experience supporting national fleets or key accounts under formal service commitments.
Experience with both diesel and battery electric machinery, including customer training and charging or site-readiness requirements.
Experience developing dealer capability, service procedures or customer-facing fleet reviews.

We are seeking a qualified Field & Workshop Service Technician to join our service team, based out of our Wacol branch in Brisbane.

The role

As a Field & Workshop Service Technician, you will join a team of experienced professionals who take pride in delivering an exceptional standard of service to our customers.

Working both in the field and the workshop, your role will include servicing, diagnosing, repairing and problem solving on LiuGong construction equipment and heavy machinery. You will work closely with customers and our service team to ensure equipment is maintained and operating at its best.

What you will need to succeed

Experience in a similar field service or heavy machinery role, with exposure to construction or earthmoving equipment (essential)
Trade qualified to Australian Standard in Plant/Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Vehicle, General Fitter or similar
Experience with hydraulics and electrical systems
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work autonomously and manage field service requirements
Highly motivated with a strong customer service focus
A regard for the health and safety of yourself and others
Strong communication skills
Current driver's licence
Ability to travel as required (essential)

The Role

This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on warehouse operations, receiving and dispatching parts, stock control and supporting the day-to-day activities of our Parts Department.

Working alongside our experienced parts team, you will help ensure parts are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately and on time. You will also have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of parts identification, ordering and customer service, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to build their skills and progress within the parts industry.

We are looking for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in getting the details right and is willing to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Dispatch

Receive, unload and check incoming parts and stock deliveries
Pick, pack and prepare customer and workshop orders for dispatch
Arrange and coordinate outgoing freight and maintain accurate delivery documentation
Assist with stock control, stocktakes and the investigation of stock discrepancies
Maintain an organised, clean and safe warehouse
Record damaged goods and product quality issues and report discrepancies
Complete general warehouse duties and assist the team where required

Parts & Customer Support

Assist customers and workshop staff with parts enquiries and the supply of parts
Learn to identify parts, process orders and use the relevant parts catalogues and computer systems
Assist with parts sales, order processing and the timely supply of parts to customers
Support the team with stock replenishment, parts promotions and merchandising displays
Work closely with the Parts Manager and other team members to ensure customers receive prompt and accurate service

What You Will Need to Succeed

Experience in a warehouse, stores, receiving and dispatch or similar hands-on role
Good attention to detail and accuracy when picking, checking and recording stock
Basic computer skills and confidence learning new systems
A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a team-focused approach
Good communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
Ability to organise your workload, follow instructions and work independently when required
A commitment to workplace health and safety
Current C Class manual driver's licence (essential)
Current forklift licence (essential)

Previous experience in the construction, machinery or automotive industries would be an advantage. Training and support will be provided to help the successful candidate develop their parts knowledge.
